Types of Accommodation
Here at Keele we have a broad range of accommodation in five halls of residence, each has its own community providing you with a ‘home from home’ on campus. All rooms are fully furnished and include a telephone and computer connection point. In all campus accommodation you will need to provide your own bedding, towels, cutlery and crockery. There are 5 main room types:
Traditional University Accommodation Blocks
These blocks have between 14 and 80 study bedrooms per block with communal kitchen/diners and bathrooms. Some rooms have their own washbasin.
Flats
4 study bedrooms with a communal kitchen/diner and bathroom.
Premier Flats
6 study bedrooms with a communal kitchen/diner. Each bedroom has its own shower room and toilet. Each block also has a lift.
Premier En-Suite
Study bedrooms with shower room and toilet 3/4 bed with built in storage and 8 students sharing a kitchen/diner. Lifts and communal lounges are available in all blocks (except Oaks B).
Catered Accommodation
Accommodation in traditional blocks, ensuite rooms and premier en-suite rooms, including breakfast, 2 course evening meal, drinks, 7 days a week. Meals are taken at Hawthorns Restaurant.
Single Occupancy Flats
We have a selection of self-contained flats which are available for single occupancy. These may appeal to those who want to experience campus life, without communal living. They are located within the halls of residence and are within walking distance of bars, launderettes and common rooms.
Liberty Court En-suite
For 2013/4 Keele have an arrangement that some 1st Year Students (Freshers) will be allocated accommodation at Liberty Court, Stoke, in en-suite accommodation.
