Study Abroad, Erasmus & Exchange Students
As an International student you will be able, if you wish, to live in University accommodation provided you apply for it by the appropriate deadline. We have a variety of room types in 5 Halls of Residence.
Applying for Accommodation
- Applications are open from May to September (for the September intake) and September to January (for the January intake)
- You will be sent an e-mail with information and instructions on how to fill in the online form
- If you are at Keele in March/April please be aware that we have some accommodation that does not cover you for the 4 week Easter vacation. If you apply for accommodation on a 33 week occupancy (premier en-suite rooms) you will need to move out for those 4 weeks and take all of your belongings with you. This can be an advantage if you are planning on going travellingin these weeks. However, please be aware that level 3 exams take place during these weeks
- Kitchen facilities are available in all residences and you must provide your own cooking utensils. However, you can apply for catered accommodation. A variety of other restaurant facilities are available on the campus and a Keele Card, which allows you to make purchases at a discount in most food outlets, will be issued when you enroll.
- We will do our best to meet your requirements, however we cannot guarantee that we will be able to allocate your first preference of room type. You therefore need to complete all sections of the accommodation application form, indicating your second and third preferences too
- To ensure that there is accommodation for everyone who accepts a place at Keele University a number of temporary shared rooms are available at the beginning of each semester. If you share on arrival, you will be found a single room as soon as there is availability. Whilst sharing, you will pay 50% of the total cost of the room. When a student moves out of a shared room the fee is adjusted for both the student who moves out and the student who remains in the room. Each occupant then becomes liable for the full 100% cost of the room from the start of the single occupancy period.
Your Accommodation Offer
- You will be e-mailed to say that you have recieved an offer of accommodation at Keele. You have 7 days from the day that the e-mail is sent to you to accept this offer. If you fail to accept this offer please e-mail accommodation@keele.ac.uk straight away and we will try to help you. If you decline this offer no futher offer will be made to you
Arriving at Keele
