Students With Disabilities & Additional Needs
We will make every effort to meet the requirements of students who have special accommodation needs. We have a range of accommodation to suit students with disabilities and health issues. See below for Halls of Residence which have adapted rooms.
It is important that you notify Disability and Dyslexia Support of any requirements you have before you apply for accommodation at Keele, so that your needs can be discussed and any necessary adjustments made. Staff in Disability and Dyslexia Support can recommend a range of options from guaranteed accommodation for the duration of your course, to the need for one of the room types below.
"Starting university and moving away from home can be challenging enough for anyone but I know that it is particularly daunting for someone with a disability. Fortunately, the adapted accommodation at Keele enabled me to enjoy university life and successfully complete my degree. I got in touch with the accommodation office very early on in the application process and the staff were very helpful in making sure my needs were met. So why not consider Keele? I did and it was the best decision I ever made." Nicola Doyle, graduated 2010.
