Accommodation

One Semester Abroad/Year Out

  • If you are on a Study Abroad, Erasmus or Exchange scheme you can book accommodation on campus for the time that you are here, whether its just the first or second semester, or the full year.
  • If you are here for the second semester or the full academic year, you should be aware that some of our accommodation is not available during the Easter vacation (33 week). 
  • To ensure you are allocated a suitable room, you will need to let us know if you require accommodation for the Easter vacation.
  • If you are a current Keele student and on first semester abroad please note that there is no guarantee of campus accommodation when you return.  We will contact you in November to give an indication on availability.
  • If you are studying abroad during the second semester, and living in campus accommodation, we will contact you in November to discuss your date of leaving.  We will email you in February regarding the following academic year’s accommodation and how to apply for this.

Shared Accommodation

To ensure that there is accommodation for everyone who accepts a place at Keele University a number of temporary shared rooms are available at the beginning of each semester.  If you share on arrival, you will be found a single room as soon as there is availability.  Whilst sharing, you will pay 50% of the total cost of the room.  When a student moves out of a shared room the fee is adjusted for both the student who moves out and the student who remains in the room.  Each occupant then becomes liable for the full 100% cost of the room from the start of the single occupancy period.
