Leaving Campus Accommodation

Students will not usually be released from contractual agreements unless they are taking a period of Leave of Absence or deferring for a period of time.

If you are withdrawing, deferring or taking a Leave of Absence from the University, you must ensure that you return the keys to your accommodation to the Student Accommodation Office before you leave.  If you do not remove your belongings and/or return room keys, you will continue to be charged at the full room rate until the room is cleared and the keys returned.  Outside office hours (Monday – Friday 9am. – 4.45 pm), you can leave your keys at the Security Lodge in the reception area of the Darwin Building.  The Security Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year.

Storage

Storage facilities on campus are very limited. If you would like to arrange storage for your possesions during vacation times, you should contact an outside storage company. Most of these companies supply packing boxes which they deliver to you; they then arrange collection and transportation to their storage facilities. Their rates are very competitive.
