English Language Support

All students whose first language is not English will be tested on arrival to Keele.  From your application and test results you will be pre-enrolled on ENL 10031: English for Academic Purposes as part of your Keele study programme. Students coming to Keele for one semester only will be allocated to ENL-10038: English for Academic Purposes (Study Abroad).

On arrival at Keele, you will be given an introduction to the English Language Unit .  Based on your needs and preferences, and in consultation with English Language Unit staff, you may then be re-allocated to one of our other English Language Modules to help strengthen your language skills, or you may be exempted from modules altogether.  In either case, individual, as-needed language support and guidance will be available to you from the English Language Unit for the duration of your stay at keele.
