Peer Mentoring Scheme
At Keele, we operate a Mentoring scheme that aims to welcome and settle new students to the University.
International Students are automatically assigned a Mentor prior to arrival and contact will be made a week before the Orientation Programme begins, so introductions can be made.
A Mentor Meet up party is also organised, which takes place during Orientation.

The following Schools are currently participating:
- Chemistry
- Computer Science and Mathematics
- Criminology and Sociology
- Educational Studies
- Life Sciences
- Management
- Medicine
- Nursing and Midwifery
The mentoring scheme will also be open to all new international students, to all mature students and those students who have already had e mentors through Widening Participation and Outreach activities.
Our Mentoring scheme begins prior to a student’s arrival at Keele, and continues during the first few weeks after arrival and in some cases, beyond this. We aim to ease the transition for new students starting with us, and provide a welcoming start to your time studying with us.
