Keele: Study Abroad

Ever considered becoming a host family?
Every year Keele Study Abroad hosts short term programmes for students coming from Japan to learn about British culture. To give them a real experience of everyday British life, we
match each student to a family living in the local area.
The students are always very keen to tell you all about their culture too, so this is a great opportunity to learn all about life in Japan (you might even learn how to make sushi!).
We are welcoming a group again in 2014, and the dates are still to be confirmed. During the programme, the students will be visiting various places of interest including Chester, Liverpool, York and Emma Bridgewater. The rest of their time will be spent participating in English Language lessons and special lectures based around British Culture.
As a host family, we would want you to provide accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis and to also help with transport arrangements to campus every weekday morning. We would also hope that you were able to include your student in family activities during the weekend.
