Biography

Emily Ouyang teaches Mandarin Chinese 1–6 levels in the Language Centre at Keele University.

Emily joined the Language Centre in 2011 as a Teaching Fellow in Mandarin Chinese. Prior to this, she taught undergraduate English language in a number of universities in China for 16 years and worked on a Chinese government and international aid organization project in Vietnam. She was employed by Edgehill University and Bolton University as a lecturer in modern foreign languages to train Mandarin Chinese teachers and teach EAP to undergraduates.

Emily is particularly interested in Mandarin Chinese teacher training, Chinese language and culture teaching.

Emily has a BA (Hons) and MA (Hons) from Hunan Normal University China; PGCE (QTS) from Cumbria University UK;  MA in Educational Management from Bolton University UK. She is also Mandarin Chinese examiner for Cambridge International Examinations.
