Foundations in Numerical and Quantitative Methods for Scientists (15 credits)
This module will develop your understanding of the fundamental mathematical techniques and quantitative methods used across science-related programmes.Content includes: numbers and mathematical operations; fractions, ratio and percentages; decimals, scientific notation and standard form; algebraic formulas; functions and functional notation; straight line graphs and simultaneous equations; probability; statistics; non-linear functions and their graphs; and exponential functions and logarithms.
