UK and EU Undergraduate Students
Funding for full-time undergraduates: UK and EU students
As a UK or EU student you are eligible to receive government funding to study in the UK. Since 2009 this funding has been administered for English students by Student Finance England. To find out how to apply please follow this link

- Welsh students intending to study in England should contact Student Finance Wales
- Northern Irish students intending to study in England should contact Student Finance Northern Ireland
- Scottish students intending to study in England should contact the Student Awards Agency for Scotland
Please note that you have to apply for your funding every year. Students who commenced study from September 2009 should reapply to SFE/SFW/SFNI/SAAS.
Those who have been studying in higher education since before 2009 should apply to their local authority. You can normally reapply from February.
If you are planning to take one of the following courses:
- BA Social Work
- BSc Physiotherapy
- All nursing and midwifery courses
- Diploma in Operating Department Practice
you will receive funding from the NHS: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/
Depending on your course, you may also be eligible for some funding from Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland/SAAS.
Please note that there is no UK government funding available for students who are not UK or EU citizens, or UK or EU citizens who don’t meet certain residency requirements. If you are coming to Keele from outside the EU, you must ensure that you have sufficient funds to complete your studies before you enter the UK.
