Funding for full-time undergraduates: UK and EU students

As a UK or EU student you are eligible to receive government funding to study in the UK.  Since 2009 this funding has been administered for English students by Student Finance England. To find out how to apply please follow this link

Look here for  information on student funding for 2012  and here‌ for information about student funding for 2013

Please note that you have to apply for your funding every year. Students who commenced study  from September 2009 should reapply to SFE/SFW/SFNI/SAAS.

Those who have been studying in higher education since before 2009 should apply to their local authority. You can normally reapply from February.

If you are planning to take one of the following courses:

  • BA Social Work
  • BSc Physiotherapy
  • All nursing and midwifery courses
  • Diploma in Operating Department Practice

you will receive funding from the NHS: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/

Depending on your course, you may also be eligible for some funding from Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland/SAAS.

Please note that there is  no UK government funding available for students who are not UK or EU citizens, or UK or EU citizens who don’t meet certain residency requirements. If you are coming to Keele from outside the EU, you must ensure that you have sufficient funds to complete your studies before you enter the UK.
