Summary:

Waguaan.com is an advertising website that works on two levels. It aims to help businesses whose target audience is mainly based on ethnic roots to reach out to its market directly, and assist those residing in the UK but of non-British roots to appreciate what is available for them. By extension, all in the UK can benefit from the increased awareness.

About me:

I am currently working full time for NPower as a Business Analyst. I am registered with ACCA and will begin my studies again once I have given myself enough time to settle into my new role and to get Waguaan.com off the ground.

About the business:

Waguaan.com aims to use the already stable sized online advertising market to expose what is culturally available. We want users of waguuaan.com to enjoy an interactive and educational experience whilst accessing the information required. Star ratings, reviews, forums and events calendar are just some of the things we are incorporating into this online directory.

How Student Enterprise has helped me:

The SpeedWM programme has helped me to tap into a locked reservoir of business savvyness. I have been able to expand further on my degree as well as combine my attributes to aim higher than I thought possible. Not to forget the incredibly talented individuals that I have met during the programme.

Future plans:

The future is all about making Waguaan.com a national and hopefully global success. I have also began thinking of “add-ons” to the original idea, and new business ventures once Waguaan.com blooms, so watch this space!
