Summary:

Computerescue offers computer support to users in their own home. We aim to simplify the process of getting efficient I.T support by removing the need to visit a retail location. We also wish to offer sound, impartial advice that will ensure our customers are getting the best value for money when considering their next computer or device purchase.

About me:

I have always been interested in technology and have been fortunate enough to study I.T from an early age. I worked as an I.T technician for several years since graduating and I really enjoy solving technical issues and providing advice. I wanted to create a support company that championed the use of technology and gave customers a renewed interest in using their computer.

About the business:

Computerescue was incorporated in 2010 and supports customers across Staffordshire. The company aims to build a small team of well-trained and enthusiastic technicians and to offer one-to-one tuition. We are interested in building small web applications in order to generate new streams of income.

How Student Enterprise has helped me:

Keele’s EFS scheme has turned my idea into a registered company with a defined strategy and detailed business plan. It has provided office space, business mentoring and the funding to buy tools and produce marketing materials. The training the scheme has provided has been extremely valuable; covering important areas such as company registration, law and taxation.

Computerescue - Helen Ryles Fixing Future plans:

We hope to be able to introduce new services regularly including web design, computer health checks and technology cleaning visits.

Over the next few months we will be expanding our website to offer remote support to customers online along with e-mail and phone support to fix small issues quickly.
