Have you got a great business idea?

 Keele is one of 66 universities which form part of the Santander University Network in the UK.  Following the success of the Awards in previous years, we are delighted to be invited to take part again this year, and offer our students and Alumni this fantastic opportunity.  

Who is eligible to apply?

This competition is open to all current Keele students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) and Alumni who graduated in or after 2011. 

How do I enter?

You must complete the application form below and submit it via email to j.leake@keele.ac.uk by 9am, Monday 11 March 2013. You should also download the Criteria & Guidelines to help you with your application.

When is the deadline to submit my application form?

Your application must be received by 9am on Monday 11 March 2013. 

What happens after the application deadline?

Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 12 March 2013 and all shortlisted applicants will be notified by 5pm that day. 

What happens if I’m shortlisted?

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to present your business idea to a panel of judges on Monday 18 March 2013.

If you’re invited to present, you will be asked to prepare a 5 minute PowerPoint presentation with up to 10 minutes Q&A about your idea.  

What do the winners receive?

The winners of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate categories from Keele will both be offered the opportunity to represent Keele in the National competition.  If you apply as an Alumnus, you will be entered into the category that matches your degree.  Therefore, if you have completed an Undergraduate degree, you will be entered into the Undergraduate category.  For any further education (PG certificate, Masters, PhD) you will be entered into the Postgraduate category.  The prizes for the National competition winners are:

What else is there to know?

The Student Enterprise team will contact the winning applicants in both categories to discuss developing their business idea into a Business Plan which will be submitted to the National competition on 12 April 2013.
