Swimming

Keele University Swimming Club is a mixed ability team ranging from social swimmers to lane 1 varsity swimmers. We train at a local high school just down the road from Keele and transport is provided to and from training. The pool has four lanes and each session is taken by a member of our team, allowing lots of variety. Training at the swimming pool is on Tuesdays (9-10pm) and Thursdays (8:30-10pm). Alongside the pool time we offer a land training session in the gym which can target specific parts of the body. This is in the campus gym and takes place on Saturdays (2-3pm). All this training isn't in vain, throughout the year any member of the team can participate in competitions such as short course and long course BUCS in November and February at Sheffield Ponds Forge and friendly galas with nearby universities and teams.

It's not, however, all about exercise. We meet at least twice a month in Newcastle-under-Lyme for socials. These include dressing up and generally having fun, but it does not stop there we also hold socials in Hanley, water world and bowling. The price for all this is just £45 for the year (£25 per term)!
