Athletic Union Cards Explained

  • Before joining one or more of the 32 sports clubs, you have to become a member of the Athletic Union, which has an annual cost of £15
  • This pays for BUCS Platinum Personal Insurance which covers you while you partake in AU activities, as well as transport costs, affiliation fees etc.

This cost does not reduce throughout the year so sign up early to get the full benefits of owning one. Now you are an AU member you must also pay the membership fee for each club you wish to join, this goes towards club kit, equipment and coaching fees. Each AU Club has an annual membership charge which varies from club to club. Team:Keele and the AU clubs are non-profit making organisations and all money that is paid to them will be invested back into Team:Keele and its Clubs.

Keele:Sport is here to make sure that every student maximises their opportunities when it comes to SPORT at Keele. Sport:Keeles facilities all have minimum charges for student and staff usage. Any money spent in the facility gets reinvested into the facility.
