Rowing

The ultimate university sport. Keele University Boat Club is a new sports

team that has seen great success in its first year. We trained both men

and women to row in competitions who previously had never even seen a

rowing boat up close let alone get in and give it a go. Thanks to the

success of the club we are back again this year to win even more medals

and make our mark at BUCS competitions. We provide land training in the

gym on the ergos and spinning classes as well as weight training. KUBC

has been fortunate enough to have excellent training from a local club and

use their equipment. We train with them twice a week which is an ideal

opportunity to get away from campus and clear your head of study whilst

on the beautiful Rudyard lake. We are looking for enthusiastic novice and

experienced rowers to join our team! KUBC are kick starting the year in style

with a week of taster sessions with a British Rowing Coach so come and join

us in fresher’s week from 1-5pm.
