Nihla Akhtar, BA (Hons) English and Philosophy (2008)
Despite never having studied the subject before, Keele's philosophy degree was easily accessible to me. The lecturers are all very helpful and friendly, and by the end of my time at Keele I've found myself on first name terms with the majority of them, something that few of my friends studying other degrees can say of their lecturers. Although obviously not all of the modules are going to interest everyone, there is a broad enough range that you will almost certainly find a branch of philosophy that you enjoy. For those wishing to extend their studies, the department-backed RIP Lectures and Philosophy Society have been engrossing and of a uniformly high quality. All in all, studying philosophy at Keele has certainly been an experience that I would encourage others to enjoy!
