Dr. Jon Herbert, SPIRE, was a guest on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday 6 November discussing the US elections.

With a viewing audience of about 1.8 million, Dr Herbert, a leading UK authority on US politics, gave his assessment of the unfolding elections from the red settee in the BBC studios.

The day before, he also appeared on live television talking about the election, on CNN (Turkey). And during the previous week,Dr. Herbert took part in the Guardian's HE Network live web chat on how student contact time with tutors can encourage independent learning. He highlighted the Keele Distinctive Curriculum in a discussion aimed at the importance of tutorials and how one-to-one meetings can develop students' ability to work independently. The discussion can be read online here.
