Well-known linguist, philosopher and political critic Noam Chomsky describes Dr. Peshawa Muhammed's PhD thesis as an outstanding work on the US intervention in Iraq. Peshawa was a PhD student in SPIRE for the last 4 years, successfully defended his thesis 6 months ago and was awarded a PhD degree.

Noam Chomsky, who has been widely described as a prominent cultural figure, and was voted the "world's top public intellectual" in 2005, presents Peshawa's thesis as a careful and sophisticated enquiry which provides substantial insight into the US regional policies and the Iraqi Kurds.
