Dr Luis Lobo-Guerrero awarded a Parsons Visitor grant

Dr Luis Lobo-Guerrero (Emerging Securities Research Unit) has been awarded a Parsons Visitor grant by the Faculty of Law, University of Sydney (July, 2011). The scheme, aimed at recognising original contributions by distinguished overseas scholars, seeks to consolidate ongoing national and international research linkages and collaborations.

Luis has been invited to deliver a keynote address to the conference 'Biosecurity, Resilience, and the Government of Life Itself' and to lead a small workshop based on his current work on the role of insurance as a liberal security technology with staff and doctoral students of the Security of Everyday Life research group. His visit will take place between the 10th and the 17th of November 2011.
