SPIRE lecturer invited speaker at Euro conference

Naveed Sheikh, Lecture in Politics, was invited to speak at a European Science Foundation Research Conference on Religion, Gender, and Human Rights in Linkoping, Sweden (June, 2011). His presentation was entitled 'Impotency, Masculinity and Militancy: Viagra vs. Virility in the Al-Qaida Literature' and was much applauded in the course of subsequent discussions. The conference drew participants from Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
