Year 3
In year 3, as part of your 120 credits, you will be expected to take at least ONE Independent Study Project (ISP), for Sociology this is our dissertation module. Depending on your degree this will be offered to you as either a compulsory or option module. You should discuss your ISP choices with Siobhan Holohan, Progamme Director for Sociology.
There are currently two routes in to studying Sociology at Keele. Talk to your personal tutor about your options:
If you are Majoring in Sociology our dissertation is a compulsory element of your course combined with your choice of electives.
Independent Study Project (double module 30 credits)

SOC-30028 Dissertation (ISP - year long module)
OR as a Dual Honours student you can opt to take modules in Sociology chosing from a number of advanced electives available which explore research-led specialisms of the Sociology staff here at Keele.
