Student Life and Learning

I studied French and Politics  (BA) at the University of Reading before doing postgraduate studies at L’Institut D’Etudes Politiques, Paris. After my return to the UK I completed an MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Salford.  I taught French and English as a Foreign Language in both France and the UK before starting work at Keele University. I initially worked in the English Language Unit before joining Disability Services and Learning Support in September 2000.  My job has developed and evolved over the years as support for students has been expanded. I am currently working as Student Life and Learning Manager and we are planning a range of events and workshops for all students this year. Promoting equality and diversity is a key element of our work. I am particularly interested in supporting mature students and students with disabilities through their transition to university and I am organising a range of events for these student groups this year.
