Becky Arnold

Biography

Dr Arnold's research focuses on star formation and star cluster evolution. She uses high performance computing facilities to conduct large simulations of star forming regions, and studies how those regions dynamically evolve. She statistically characterises how stars move around (or leave) their host regions depending on the initial conditions of the region. By comparing these statistically characterised results from simulations to real observational data she draws inferences about how stars form and how star clusters evolve.
