After graduating in Mathematics from Exeter University in 1992 I took a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, also at Exeter. During this time I became interested in the use of Information Technology in education and spent the following two years working at schools in South Devon, providing support and training in IT to teachers as well as using technology to enhance pupils' learning experience, before coming to Keele in 1995.
My role at Keele includes promoting and supporting the use of technology in the teaching and learning of Mathematics and to that end I have expertise in the mathematical software package, Mathematica, and the typesetting system, LaTeX.
I also have responsibility for the maintenance of the Mathematics Computer Lab, so please report any faults with the lab PCs to me.
