Georgios Tzannetatos is a PhD candidate at the Research Institute for Law, Politics and Justice in Keele University. He received his B.A in International and European Politics and Economics at University of Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Greece) with his dissertation titled “Poland: Approaching the European Union”. His postgraduate studies started at University of Athens (Athens, Greece) where he received his M.A in European and International Studies with his thesis titled “The agriculture policy of the European Union: The reform of the Common Agriculture Policy and its effect at the agriculture development of Greece”. His current research focuses on culture and identity politics and mainly on the impact that the Turkish Accession bid has at the formation of the European identity. His main areas of interest are identity politics, social movements, political history and alternative approaches to classical Marxism such as civil zapatismo. Georgios is fond of political documentaries and co-producer of the famous documentary titled “Debtocracy”. Currently he works as Senior Credit Officer at a financial institution in Athens.
