Alexander is a PhD candidate at Keele University’s Management school.  He completed his Master’s Degree in Marketing at Keele University.  From this he moved to the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant, whilst embarking upon a PhD.

The PhD thesis is centred on social class, paying particular attention to the middle classes.  Their nebulous nature makes for difficult categorisation; therefore qualifying the socio-economic group is the first challenge.  The crux of the thesis is to be defined; however, the recent upheavals in the economic climate will dominate much of the research.  An ethnographic study is planned as a research method to provide the necessary insights.  The study is currently one month old, and when more detail is known it will be added to this profile.
