Mustafa Demir is a PhD candidate in the School of Politics and International Relations at Keele University. He had his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Uludag University in Bursa/Turkey. During his Bachelor’s degree he had been in Germany as an exchange student. He studied on EU enlargement process, Turkey’s membership to EU and Cyprus Issue at Siegen University in Germany for a semester in Fall 2006.
His research interests are: the Middle East and current developments, Turkey’s foreign and security policies, Kurdish question and perception of Kurds and Kurdistan in the Middle East and world politics. He is currently working on Turkey’s relations with Kurdistan Region of Iraq as his doctoral thesis.
