Role: PhD Student, Graduate Teaching Assistant - SPIRE

I began as a Philosophy PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Keele in October 2012, having previously been educated at the University of Warwick (MPhil Philosophy, 2010-2012) and St. Peter’s College, Oxford (BA Philosophy and Theology, 2007-2010). I have particular interests in the History of Philosophy (especially Hume, Kant, Schleiermacher, Schopenhauer and Nietzsche), and in the Philosophy of Religion

I am working on a PhD thesis provisionally entitled ‘Kant’s Critical Philosophy of Hope and Salvation’, under the supervision of Sorin Baiasu and James Tartaglia. It will focus on Kant’s later work ‘Religion within the Bounds of Mere Reason’. I also intend to continue developing my MPhil thesis ‘A Critical Examination of Schopenhauer’s Metaphilosophy and Theory of Salvation’, which I wrote in early 2012.

My research is supported by Keele University and the APRA Foundation Berlin.
