Taptuk Emre is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Economics and Management in Keele University. Having had his Bachelor's degree in Economics at Fatih University in Istanbul, Taptuk is currently conducting an efficiency analysis using both parametric and non-parametric approaches for public higher education institutions (HEIs) in Turkey. His research interests cover applied microeconomics, public economics, economics of public higher education and efficiency and productivity analysis.

Executive Summary: This research conducts an efficiency analysis using both parametric and non-parametric approaches for public higher education institutions (HEIs) in Turkey. It basically aims to figure out the efficiency levels of each institution as well as discussing the determinants of inefficiencies among them.
