Prof. James Hartley (from Psychology) gave a talk to the Perspectives on 15 November at 15.30.

Prof. Hartley talked about Being a referee in academic journals, and discussed Who are referees? How are they chosen? What do they do? And Can we do without them?

The presentation sparked a very fruitful debate among attendees. They asked about the process of submission of articles to academic journals and the role of referees in this process and their expectation from a paper.
