Law is delighted to announce the joint funding of a PhD studentship with The Honourable Society of The Inner Temple and Keele (through its ACORN doctoral award scheme).

The project entitled 'Professional Intervention, Social Mobility and Access to the Legal Profession' will explore the role that professional bodies, such as Inns of Court, can play in improving and encouraging access to the legal profession.

This collaboration builds on the academic and policy impact that Dr Francis, Head of the School of Law, pictured above, has achieved in his research, which was recognised through his appointment as one of the first Academic Fellows of Inner Temple in 2010.
