Professor Matthias Klaes, Keele Management School, was invited to speak as an honorary participant in a session on 'Economics and Reality' at the XIII International Conference on Economic and Social Development in Moscow.

The annual conference is frequented by academics, high ranking government officials and representatives of international institutions, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the OECD.

Professor Klaes also gave a public lecture at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow on 'Moral Sentiments: Wordly Philosophers in Financial Crisis' and met a senior team of the Faculty of Economics to explore collaboration in the area of economic methodology.

The New Statesman has this week published an article on a new book, An Introduction to Behavioral Economics, by Professor Klaes and Nick Wilkinson.
