Peter Styles, Professor of Applied and Environmental Geophysics, Applied & Environmental Geophysics Research Group, School of Physical and Geographical Sciences, was a keynote speaker at a conference on "Managing Risks and Exploiting Development & Resource Opportunities from Mines & Minewater" this week at the British Geological Survey at Keyworth, Nottingham, that was aimed at industrialists and legislators.
On Sunday in Copenhagen he gave the first of a year-long series of courses as Distinguished Visiting Lecturer for the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers at the EAGE Copenhagen Conference.
The course is entitled "Everything you ever wanted to know about Environmental Geophysics but were afraid to ask" and is underpinned by a textbook of the same title published by EAGE.
