1. Playing Fields

a) The playing fields are freely available for the various uses for which they are intended subject only to restrictions due to wet weather or to any special work being carried out by the Grounds Staff.

b) The Grounds Manager should be advised of any matches to be played and should be consulted about any doubtful matters. His decision on the fitness of the grounds for use shall be final.

c) All players using the playing fields, whether for matches or for practices, are expected to be appropriately dressed for the particular sport or game being played.

d) Under no circumstances may cars, cycles etc., be driven across or parked on the playing fields, grass areas, paths or pedestrian areas.

e) Any persons/groups wishing to use the playing fields must pre-book with the Leisure Centre before commencement of the activity.

f) Under no circumstances should anyone climb, play or swing on any sporting structures (e.g. goal posts) unless the equipment is specifically designed for the purpose and a full risk assessment has been undertaken and appropriate safety measures provided.

Note: Users of the facilities are asked to respect the views of those who object, for reasons of conscience, to playing games on Sundays.

2. The Lawns

All ball games are prohibited except on the playing fields.

3. Horses

If horses or ponies are brought on to the campus, they must walk or be ridden only on the roads, and must not be exercised on grass and woodland areas.

4. Trees

Notices must not be fixed on trees.

5. Caravans

Trailer caravans and boats in excess of 12 feet long will not at any time be parked on any part of the campus unless written permission has been issued by the Secretary to Council for such parking in an area specifically designated by the University as a caravan park. Any person parking such a caravan or boat in such park shall pay to the University such licence fee therefore as may from time to time be determined by the University and comply with the terms of any parking regulations which the University may from time to time prescribe.

6. Residence in Caravans, Dormobiles or other Vehicles

No person or persons shall onsleep or otherwise reside in or occupy for residential purposes a caravan, dormobile or other vehicle of any description whatsoever on the campus.
