7. JOINT COMMITTEE FOR HONORARY DEGREES (reports to Council and Senate)
Scope: The award of honorary degrees
(a) Terms of reference
To make recommenations to Council and Senate on:
1 Criteria for the award of honorary degrees.
2 Specific individuals to be invited to receive honorary degrees.
To be responsible for, and report to Council and Senate on:
3* Confirming the timing of the award of honorary degrees which have been agreed in principle by Senate and Council.
(b) Delegated powers
The Honorary Degrees Committee has delegated authority under item 3 (*starred).
