Regulation 12: Residence Off Campus

1 A register of accommodation is maintained by the Student Accommodation Services Office and is available to all students seeking private accommodation off campus.

2 Applications to live on campus will be invited each year by a date to be published. In the event that applications for campus accommodation exceed availability, a ballot will be held to determine eligibility. Permission to live off-campus will not be given in the course of an academic year, except where there are compassionate or other compelling reasons.

3 Any student who finds his/her own accommodation must register the address with the Records and Exams Office using the eVision Web Portal.

4 a) An undergraduate intending to live off campus must give notice of his/her intention to do so by completing the appropriate form available from Student Accommodation Services.

b) All students not residing on the campus must register their current local address using the eVision Web Portal with the Records and Exams Office. Non-resident students who wish to use a temporary address or their local address in vacations must register this address using the eVision Web Portal and notify their Schools in writing. Formal communications to students in vacations will be sent to the registered home address unless a temporary or local address is registered for the period in question.

5 Health Centre Registrations

Non-resident students are advised to register immediately with a General Practitioner who covers their residential address. The facilities of the Health Centre are only available to registered students, except in an emergency.
