Student Engagement
Student engagement is referred to within the Quality Statement.
There is increasing student engagement in a more structured and strategic way, for example, through the StARs representation programme, Education Student Liaison Committees, Research Student Liaison Committees and to other aspects of the University co-curricular offer, for example, as peer mentors, ambassadors and to the Maths Centre.
Issues raised at the student experience meetings are followed up in a variety of ways, some by regular reporting into the Student Education Liaison Committee Meetings and through the University Learning and Teaching Committee, some by more formal action plans and much of the feedback has influenced the development of University wide strategies such as the Learning and Teaching Strategy, the Sports Strategy, the Information Systems Strategy and the Accommodation Strategy.
