The Programme Approval Panel should receive the following documentation:
- Programme proposal document with incorporated signed off business plan

- Programme Specification
- External Assessor Reports
- Responses to External Assessors
Programme Approval Panels are organised by the proposing School, through the Faculty Office.
The Programme Approval Panel meet with the programme team to discuss the programme documentation and decide whether it is of an appropriate standard to be approved. The Programme Approval Panel are appointed to consider whether they would propose the approval of the award to the University Learning and Teaching Committee. The award may be proposed for approval subject to a number of conditions and recommendations.
The programme team must provide a response to the Panel Chair and Secretary demonstrating that any conditions have been fulfilled and how they will look to address any recommendations. The Panel Chair will be required to sign-off the programme and then recommend approval to the University Learning and Teaching Committee.
The Programme Approval Panel will formally approve the modules, programme specification and course regulations. As a member of the Panel, the Faculty Dean will sign off the final business plan to confirm that resources will be made available by the Faculty to support the programme.
