Keele University has picked up eight top 10 positions in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.

The survey reveals the views of around 14,700 students from across the UK on a range of features of student life, such as the quality of courses, the support available and community living.

In this year’s results Keele’s library and its opening times were ranked 1st, following a major redevelopment of the facility in 2014 linked to students' feedback of what they needed.

Keele was ranked joint 4th for ‘high-quality staff/lecturers’ and joint 5th for ‘community atmosphere’. The University also scored highly for ‘good environment on campus/around the university, with students reinforcing that they would recommend Keele to their friends.

In total Keele was ranked in the top ten in 8 of the survey’s 22 categories and was ranked 21st overall.

Professor Mark Ormerod, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise), said: “To be in the top ten universities in the UK in 8 out of the 22 categories is a superb achievement. We work closely with our Students' Union and aim to listen to our student body to ensure that we provide a distinctive, high-quality experience that equips our students for all aspects of their life and career. This survey recognises the continued hard work and commitment of staff at the University and of the Students' Union in delivering a high-quality experience, and confirms the atmosphere and environment on campus is of the highest quality.  To come first for the quality of our library provision and fourth for the quality of our lecturers and staff is particularly impressive."
