1,000 Paper Cranes for Japan
Cranes in the grass in front of one Keele's flowering cherry collection
Students from Keele University have been hard at work folding 1,000 origami cranes to raise money for the British Red Cross Tsunami Appeal.
An ancient Japanese tradition says that anyone who accomplishes the task will receive one wish.
The group will hold a short ceremony of remembrance for those lost in the recent earthquake and tsunami at 1pm on Friday, April 1, in Keele Chapel.
The cranes will be on display in the chapel until 2pm and there will be the opportunity to make your own.
