Amateur music makers wanted for Keele University study
Dr Alexandra Lamont
Amateur music makers are invited to share their experiences as part of research at Keele University.
Dr Alexandra Lamont, a senior lecturer in Keele's School of Psychology, is carrying out a research project looking at adult amateur music making and is appealing for anyone who does not make a living entirely through music to share their experiences of music in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
She said: “I am interested in hearing from anyone who plays, sings or is in a music group of any standard. Part of the aim of the study is to look at how music can support people through life transitions and I'm especially interested in university leavers, new parents and newly retired people.”
The short online survey will only take 15 to 20 minutes to complete and can be found at http://tinyurl.com/amateurmusicUK
