School of Pharmacy

I joined the Dept. of Medicines Management in 2000. I am responsible for managing the Department’s Prescribing Studies programme, including Independent Prescribing. I have a broad range of experience gained from working in primary care where I was Head of Medicines Management and the Lead for the implementation of NICE guidance. I have a special interest in non-medical prescribing and I am a qualified Independent Prescriber. I use this qualification to run regular clinics in a local GP practice where I focus on patients with cardiovascular disease. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
