I joined the National Pathology Benchmarking Service in 2004, which was integrated into the Department of Medicines Management within the School of Pharmacy in July 2008. I have a degree in History and American Studies, but developed data analysis skills in my previous job. I am currently responsible for the day-to-day running and development of both the laboratory Benchmarking scheme (which is now in its 15th year) and the new Department of Health funded Primary Care Benchmarking project.
