School of Pharmacy

I joined the School of Pharmacy in June 2010 on a part-time basis as part of the Clinical Pharmacy team. I have been a qualified pharmacist since 1994 and have worked in both Community and Hospital pharmacy as well as working in South Africa for Voluntary Services Overseas. I specialised in Hospital Renal Pharmacy in 2006 and became an independent prescriber in 2007.  As part of my duties here at Keele I facilitate practice placements at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and assist in the delivery of therapeutics and practice teaching. On my other days I am a tutor for the Post Graduate Clinical Diploma in Hospital Pharmacy and also help facilitate on the Independent Prescribing Course. I also work at Nuffield Hospital one day a week to keep my clinical practice up to date.
