News: Latest medicines optimisation reports now available

The latest 'Better Value' and 'Quality and Productivity' Prescribing Reports from Keele are now available. These reports, which are combined into a single Excel spreadsheet, capture a number of cost-effective prescribing options for practices to consider.

• The Better Value Prescribing Report highlights prescribing choices for over 60 drugs from across many therapeutic areas, which are associated with significant savings in the West Midlands.
• The Quality and Productivity Prescribing Report captures prescribing choices that are again are lower cost options, but which are arguably more challenging to implement than those in the Better Value Report.

We have produced two sets of accompanying notes that introduce each report and discuss the individual prescribing changes, highlighting the supporting evidence and guidance behind these options:
