News: Monthly Script now available

The February 2013 Monthly Script is now available on-line for West Midlands healthcare professionals. Click here to access the report using your PCT login details. (Please contact either your local medicines management team or e-mail us to arrange access).

This new monthly report replaces the former Quarterly Therapeutic Review (QTR) and provides prescribers and medicines management teams with a round-up of key developments in five key areas of primary care prescribing:

• cardiovascular
• respiratory
• gastrointestinal
• endocrine system
• CNS (including pain and inflammation)

Summarising significant news items, national guidance and key new evidence, the QTR also provides interpretation and recommended actions relating to prescribing and medicines management.  This electronic bulletin contains in-text hyperlinks allowing readers quick access to referenced items.   

A PDF and blog are available from the Latest Updates page and Word versions are available to West Midlands organisations who are free to adapt this newsletter for dissemination locally.  For example, organisations may wish to include their own logo or include local messages.
