Transcript of Peter's video
I’m Peter, I am studying Environment and Sustainability; I’m in year one at the moment and my second semester is going fantastic.
I have made loads of friends on my course. No day at Keele is completely the same, I mean I live off Campus relatively close to Keele so every Monday I’ve got to get up at about eight for my nine o’clock lecture, catch the bus, and you know I get into Keele and I meet my friends at the Students’ Union and we have a quick coffee, we run to our lecture and yes, we get in and there’s about ninety people in our Ecology and so it’s all really buzzing and the atmosphere is really good.
At sixth form none of us, none of us knew what to expect from a university. I mean we already had our friends and the years above are saying university is fantastic, you are going to love it; but you still had that at the heart, it appeared to some people like you were a bit ‘am I going to enjoy it, what’s it going to be like?’ but as soon as I got to Keele the first night and my parents said goodbye, and that first evening when I was like ‘all right, I’m on my own’ things just settled into place.
At Keele I’ve got loads of second and third year friends and then I’ve met my fresher friends through my course and through all these different activities you get involved in, because obviously when you first get into university you really want to get into as many societies as possible to meet as many new people and Keele’s really good for that because its got such a broad aspect and it really broadens your horizons on what you want to do. That’s one of the reasons why I love Keele; it’s just so buzzing with atmosphere.
