Born in London and arrived in the Potteries in 1982 via Oxford. Undertook hospital training in Stoke-on-Trent before obtaining my current clinical post as a Principal in General Practice within the Potteries in Wolstanton in 1987.
My research career began in 1991 with my appointment as a research fellow at Keele University.
